Dr. Mariana Crumley received her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2007. She went on to complete a one-year internship at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala in Ocala, Florida. In 2011, Dr. Crumley completed her residency in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia, while receiving a master’s degree at Kansas State University.

Soon after, she joined the anesthesia team at the University of Pennsylvania, where she taught and worked at the New Bolton Center. After 4 years she decided to leave academia and join Veterinary Referral Associates in Maryland. She established the anesthesia and analgesia service at VRA, eventually becoming medical director.

Her main interests include managing patients with pulmonary and cardiac disease and pain management. She continues to lecture and provide clinical instruction for students, interns, and residents. She also enjoys spending time at other hospitals, helping their doctors and technicians grow their anesthesia skills.

When not at work Dr. Crumley loves spending time with her husband and kids as well as riding her horse.

Dr. Crumley currently works at Veterinary Referral Associates.
