Veterinary Technician - Zeeland
Zeeland Veterinary Service, a 2-doctor, small animal practice in Zeeland, MI, is searching for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team! We value the education and skill level that a licensed technician brings and will reflect this in compensation and benefits as well as utilization.
Background and experience:
- LVT with hands-on experience in a small animal hospital
- Friendly, adaptive, and positive team player
- Strong communication, organization, animal handling, and technical skills
- Desire to uphold and build relationships with the local community
- Ability to lift approximately 40lbs
- Flexible schedule and able to work Saturdays
Responsibilities and required skillset:
- Anesthesia monitoring and induction
- dental prophylaxis and radiology
- Assisting the doctor during appointments and procedures
- Blood draws and sample collection
- Maintaining and sterilizing surgical equipment
- Administering medication, vaccines, and injections
- Drug calculations and performing laboratory tests
- Outpatient procedures
- General hospital cleaning
- Client communication and education
