Radiation Oncology Veterinary Technician
VRCC Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital is a 24-hour emergency and specialty veterinary hospital located in Englewood, Colorado. We see patients from both as referrals from general practice veterinarians, as well as directly from clients in need of specialty veterinary care for their pet. We specialize in Cardiology, Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Oncology & Radiation Therapy, as well as orthopedic and soft tissue Surgery.
Position Overview:

The Veterinary Technician supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our patients and clients. Responsibilities include providing patient care by determining animal requirements, conducting examinations and diagnostic procedures, running anesthesia, providing nursing care, assisting with feeding and caring for patients, maintaining medical supplies and equipment, discharging patients, and maintaining patient medical records.
What you’ll do:
- Intake of patients and pre-anesthetic evaluation
- Collaborate with DVM on treatment plan
- Administer radiation treatments
- Follow safety procedures to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation
- Maintain equipment, regularly check equipment to ensure safety
- Client communication, effectively communicating with clients details and precautions on their pets procedure
- Ensure accurate delivery of treatment using medical imaging equipment
- Monitoring patient reaction to treatment and advising alternative treatment plans necessary
- Maintaining detailed medical records on patients
- Perform routine and complex tumor localization procedures if required by DVM using CT
Who you are:
- Registered Veterinary Technician
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Experience in oncology preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- At Least 2+ years in veterinary medicine, preferably oncology
- Outstanding attention to detail
- ARRT Certification
