Why Ventura?
Ventura lies along U.S. Route 101 between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara and is described as the “land of eternal spring”. It is a vibrant town that checks stress at the door, maintains an artistic culture, and offers activities to fit all interests and is considered a safer haven for social distancing than some of the surrounding cities. The downtown area features numerous restaurants, shops, wine bars, and the internationally acclaimed Rubicon Theatre Company. Events are always happening in town, including street festivals, running and cycling events, fisherman’s markets, and even whale watching. The city is famous for the quality and frequency of perfect surfing conditions. If you would rather stay dry, no problem, as hiking and camping opportunities are endless.
