North Madison Animal Hospital is a premier veterinary facility dedicated to providing exceptional care to all patients. Located in the heart of Jackson, Tennessee, we boast a team of passionate professionals committed to the well-being and health of pets. We have a doctor to technician ratio of 1:2. We have a dynamic team of doctors, technicians, and receptionists who have been with the hospital for years. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our esteemed team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering high-quality veterinary care with a focus on client communication and patient welfare. We are seeking a veterinarian with a passion for exotic animals and wildlife. Our facility provides top notch care for local companion animals, exotics, and raptor/wildlife rehabilitation centers. Responsibilities:
- Utilize our state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, including radiography (digital X-rays), digital dental X-rays, ECG, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory, to uncover the root of your patients' medical mysteries.
- Work with our team of dedicated professionals to provide rapid and accurate diagnoses, ensuring that no tail goes untucked and no whisker goes unexamined.
- Collaborate with owners to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their pets unique needs.
- Stay ahead of the curve by keeping abreast of the latest advancements in veterinary diagnostics and technology.
- Maintain meticulous records of diagnostic tests and results, because when it comes to pet health, details matter.
Qualifications:
- Veterinarian degree (DVM) from an accredited college or university.
- Current State Veterinary License.
- DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
- Experience overseeing Veterinary Technicians and Assistants as well as other hospital or practice staff.
- Must demonstrate a desire to continue learning in veterinary care and participate in leading staff training.
Position Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Excellent Communication Skills and the ability to communicate effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner with all members of the Medical and Hospital staff.
- Client communication skills, must be able to elicit information, establish rapport, offer explanations with pet owners.
- Display confidence and reassurance when dealing with pets experiencing severe stress, illness, or pain.
- May include some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Some tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work.
- Position does require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
