General Practice Vet Assistant

Red Rocks Animal Center is a high-volume clinic looking for a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant who can excel in our fast-paced 3 doctor practice.
Our team works closely with clients in our community, rescues from surrounding areas, and people from all over Colorado, to provide top care at a lower cost. With 2 general practice doctors and 1 surgical doctor on staff, there is never a dull moment here at RRAC!
Based on our low-cost, high-volume aspect, we can accommodate a different type of day-to-day than some of our competing hospitals. We excel in general practice duties, including but not limited to vaccinations, health exams, and wellness blood work. But we also partake in surgical procedures including foreign bodies, ocular corrections, orthopedics, and so many more. We thrive on our ability to provide hospitalization options to owners for cases such as renal disease, pancreatitis, diabetic ketoacidosis, and post-op care for our in-depth surgical cases.

Job Duties Include:
- Patient Restraint
- Assisting Doctors in exams and treatments
- X-ray Capturing
- Venipuncture and IV Catheter Placement
- Medical Record Keeping- Through Avimark
- Customer Service
- Medicating and Care of Hospitalized Patients
- Routine Cleaning and Maintenance of Facilities
- Other duties as assigned
RRAC is looking for a compassionate, motivated and dependable person to assist in the care of our clients and patients. We take our jobs seriously, while having fun doing it! This position consists of a variety of hours, including late evenings, early mornings, and weekends.
At least 1-2 years of animal experience is required and we are willing to train the right person to excel with our team.
