Equine Veterinarian
Sports Medicine Equine Associate
Location: Colt's Neck Equine Associates located in Manalapan New Jersey, is seeking a full time Ambulatory Equine Associate Veterinarian to join our team providing high quality care that our clients and patients have received for 42 years.
About Colts Neck Equine Associates: Colt's Neck Equine is a primary care ambulatory practice consisting of 7 veterinarians working together in a congenial and cooperative environment. We stress exceptional customer service combined with a progressive attitude toward medicine. Our practice has both race and show horse clients as well as a broad pleasure horse base. We have a full range of diagnostic equipment including 4 digital radiographs, 3 digital ultrasounds, gastroscope, shock waves, 1 class 4 and 1 RLT laser, and a lameness locater. The practice environment stresses sharing workload and shared on call with a strong work ethic and a harmonious work life integration. We strive to be exceptional in every way and the veterinarians and employees work together like family.
Applicants: The successful applicant will have the ability to develop a practice tailored to their interests, background and expertise. Whether you love show horses, the racetrack, alternative medication, or primary care, the opportunities are endless. We encourage each veterinarian to pursue their own area of interest.
Mentorship: Our 7 doctors clients include high level show and pleasure horses, world class standardbred and thoroughbred race horses, and everything in between. Our doctors have advanced training in lameness diagnostics, acupuncture, spinal manipulation, dentistry and business. We stress exceptional customer service and a progressive approach to veterinary medicine.
Collaboration: We are a collaborative team with regular meetings and encourage discussion and support among everyone. The practice environment stresses sharing workload, on call, and a strong work ethic with harmonious work life integration. Our office and mobile support staff provide the best in customer service and doctor interaction. We strive to be exceptional and work together like family.
Our practice is located in Monmouth County, central New Jersey. We are one hour from New York City, Philadelphia, and close to beautiful beaches and farmland. Our vibrant equine population makes our location very unique and provides ample opportunities to explore professional and personal passions.
A successful applicant for this position will receive a practice vehicle, 3,4 and 5 day work weeks available, paid time off, CE stipend, opportunity for health care and numerous other benefits.
Salary and benefits: Starting salary is $130,000+ depending on experience. We offer a full benefit package that includes generous CE, PTO, a medical insurance stipend and personal use of the practice vehicle, as well as 4-6 day work week options.
