Veterinary Internist
Carolina Veterinary Specialists (CVS) in Matthews, NC is eagerly seeking a Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist for our hospital.
CVS operates six full-service emergency & specialty referral facilities in the Carolinas, with locations in Huntersville, Charlotte, Matthews, Rock Hill, Greensboro, and Winston-Salem. Each location provides multiple referral specialties, as well as 24-hour emergency and critical care. Our referral services include Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Behavior, Emergency, and Avian/Exotics. We strive to foster and maintain a supportive, positive, open, and collaborative culture that is employee focused. Communication, and setting clear expectations, is essential for us to work as a team, and have fun while doing it.
We have all the equipment you need to practice excellent medicine! Our practices are fully equipped with modern equipment, including a CT scanner, digital radiology with a PetRays account for radiology review, and full in-house lab work capabilities. We have an excellent ultrasound machine, full endoscopy capabilities, as well as laparoscopy.
Matthews is a suburb of South Charlotte, and a wonderful place to live, full of all kinds of activities, and within driving distance of many others. We have a rich cultural scene with theater, opera, symphony, art museums, and concerts. Excellent school systems are present within the suburbs of Charlotte, including both public and private options. We host major league football and basketball teams, as well as minor league hockey and baseball. Charlotte is home to the US National Whitewater Center, and Charlotte Motor Speedway. In two hours, you can be in the mountains to camp, hike, rock climb, or just relax. In 3-4 hours you can be at the beach. We have several lakes located in the Charlotte metro area, with great opportunities to live near the water. Our airport is a major hub, making air travel easy.
