UltraVet Mobile NJ - Mobile Sonographer
Reports to: Hospital Manager & Medical Director
Department: Ultravet Mobile
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Hospital Manager and Medical Director and with the support of staff veterinary specialists, the Mobile Sonographer will perform a wide range of mobile services for referring veterinarians including but not limited to: echocardiograms, abdominal ultrasounds and guided aspirates.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Coordinate daily schedule with UVM Coordinator to assure sufficient workload coverage
- Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonographic examinations
- Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images
- Use independent judgment during sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings
- Analyze examination and medical history and communicate findings to veterinarian specialist
- Assume responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients while they are in the sonographer's care
- Maintain a daily log of patients seen and complete exam billing (in PMS & client invoicing)
- Establish and maintain ethical working relationships and good rapport with all hospitals and referral contacts
- Report equipment failures to the appropriate supervisor or staff member
- Maintain vehicle and equipment - clean and organized
- Maintain clean, neat uniform
- Perform marketing visits in coordination with Marketing Director & UVM Coordinator
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
- High school diploma and college degree preferred
- Active certification by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in the specialty as appropriate
- Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty as appropriate
- Must have a valid driver’s license
