RISE is an acronym that stands for ‘Rotational Immersion & Skill-building Experience’. RISE is a full-time associate role, designed with you in mind. We know that mentorship is not a one-size fits all experience. We adapt and accommodate to support you during your transition from vet school into practice! You have the option to do: 3 months of GP or ER, or 6 months: 3 months on GP and 3 months of ER Both options are followed by a one-year contract. For the 6-months track, you will tell us what you liked more, GP or ER and that is what your one-year will be in!

RISE not only provides you with a full-time salary and benefits, but we also provide: Housing stipend during the 3 or 6 months Student Loan repayment annual bonus Relocation stipend An experienced mentor that is assigned as your main point of contact, and is there to guide and support you

When will I join as a R.I.S.E. doctor?

We are flexible and will work with you one-on-one to find a start date that is best for you! Whether you start immediately after graduation, or you want to take some time off to recharge, we will work to accommodate you.

The choice is yours! We have locations nationwide, and the best part is you tell us what location you prefer and we will work out the rest. There are no surprises or locations that you will be placed at that you are unaware of- everything is agreed upon from the start. View Current Opportunities

What is the R.I.S.E. Mentorship Program?

The R.I.S.E. program was created by PetVet Care Centers to offer guidance and support through mentorship to recent graduates like yourself as you take the next step in your veterinary career.

R.I.S.E. is an acronym that stands for ‘Rotational Immersion & Skill-building Experience’.

R.I.S.E. is designed to help new DVM grads like you transition from academia to clinical practice.

You will be paired with an experienced mentor and will move through the program with a nationwide cohort, providing an added layer of peer mentorship and the foundation for a professional network.

R.I.S.E. Offers Two Different Pathways

No matter what pathway you choose, you’re guaranteed to receive hands-on training, one-on-one guidance, and access to a network of recent graduates and R.I.S.E. participants to lean on for support, friendship, and connection.

How is RISE different from other programs?

PetVet's R.I.S.E. Mentorship Program has been designed by experienced DVMs to help new DVMs achieve the highest level of success as they move from classroom to clinic. We've all been in your shoes... and can offer you the support you need.

One-on-One Mentorship

R.I.S.E. is a unique opportunity where you'll be matched with an experienced mentor at your hospital. You mentor will dedicate time to support you and your career goals, while striving to help you become confident and independent as a professional.

New Grad Retreat

Spend a weekend getting to know your fellow new grads in a centralized location. The retreat will be full of team-building activities and workshops. We want to help you build your network and support system, all while having fun.

Worry-Free Relocation

As a participant in the R.I.S.E. Mentorship Program, PetVet Care Centers will provide a relocation package for you to relocate to your hospital. We also provide a housing stipend during the 3 or 6-month mentorship to further support you in getting settled.
